W badanych układach sterowania zastosowano regulatory klasyczne. Badania laboratoryjne przeprowadzono dla napędu z silnikiem PMSM o mocy 2,5 kW.
The problem of the inverter-fed drive of a hydraulic piston pump in a hydraulic volumetric control system is analysed in the paper. A PMSM motor was used to drive the pump. Flow dynamics of the working medium in the open and closed control system is discussed. In regulation systems there were used PID regulators whose parameters had been calculated based on numeric minimisation of the given regulation performance indexes. Identification of control objects (PMSM-pump, pump-proportional valve, PMSM-pump-hydraulic motor) was performed by measuring the time responses and theirs approximation with mathematical models (11). The results for a hydraulic system with volumetric control and throttling control were compared. It was proved that flow control with change of the pump rotational speed (volumetric control) showed similar flow dynamics to that of throttling control provided that the PMSM motor starting speed was not zero. In justified cases the volumetric control can replace the throttling control which is characterised by large power loss. The laboratory investigations were carried out for a drive with 2.5 kW PMSM motor and a piston pump with a geometric volume of 4.9 cm3/rev.
