Using the transfer matrix method, the influence of fiber Bragg gratings' (FBG) characteristics on the optical wavelength
discriminator characteristics was analyzed. The wavelength discriminator forms FBG and cooperates with the identical
FBG sensor. The calculation was made for uniform and chirped FBGs. The comparison of the discriminators processing
range measurement was analyzed. Presented results are crucial while choosing parameters of FBG used in constructing
optical wavelength discriminators for strain and pressure sensor.
