Abstract:

The paper deals with the computer system for arc furnace maintenance. For general form of the electric installation diagram the equivalent circuit diagram is discussed. In diagram the high-current circuit and voltage measurement circuit are distinguished. For full description of the circuit eighteen parameters are necessary. That is why the multistage identification procedure is proposed. The elements of the diagrams are identified, taking into account measurement of electric quantities on primary and secondary sides of furnace transformer. The calculation procedure of the circuit elements is explained. For calculation of the working point of arc furnace circuit the arc discharge ought to be considered as nonlinear load. The nonlinearity of the arc discharges causes increase of the circuit equivalent reactance. The formulas for calculations of the arc reactance are in refereed literature. It allows for circuit parameters calculation, taking into consideration as for linear load. The maintenance system assists in multistage measurements and calculations of the parameter. Two views of the screen during operation of the system are presented.
